Christmas is a time to remember the gift God gave the world by sending His Son, Jesus, to live on earth. To help our family focus on the true meaning of Christmas, below are some of the worship activities we use to draw our minds to what the Bible says about the birth of Jesus.
Each year, we read the Christmas Story from the Bible and since we like to have everyone take part in the reading, we began using the Readers' Theater format. Music is also an important part of the Christmas celebration so I started working on a music and scripture reading book called An Advent Celebration Through Music. This book features Christmas Carols about the various aspects of the Christmas season. The idea was to have 25 songs with scripture readings to use for family worship during the month of December.
